In her shoes

Definitely mommas girl. a new pair of shoes are kaidas favorite thing. when we picked them out at the store kaida had to hold them every second...she put up a fight when i gave them to the cashier, but that only lasted a few seconds, then they were hers and she had to be wearing them all the time. she walked arround the whole appartment in them...for like an hour. funniest thing of my life...just watching her made me smile...it took her a while to get used to the wedge and the strap between the toe...but then she was strutting her stuff in her new shoes.

puppy girl

we went to Nebraska furniture mart the other day (huge store like ikea but way nicer) and they had these ceramic dogs all over. kaida was smitten....she loves puppies and everytime she sees one she barks and has to pet it. she is hugging this puppy in the picture. i think this dog would be very easy to care for...i might consider it....saaa

Nauvoo

we made it. I have been waiting all summer to go to nauvoo and we finally went. it was an awesome experience! all the couple missionaries were dressed all cute in pioneer clothes... this picture below makes me smile...I thought he was the cutest!here is me and my baby sitting on the stairway to the temple

we had a little picnic before we did the tour of nauvoo....it was such a hot day...too hot!!

hello

well.....we leave bright and early tomorrow morning for NAUVOO!! garetts parents are here for a week so we decided to stay in nauvoo for a couple of days...so hopefully i will get some good shots to share with you when we get back. how exciting!!

well its august here in kansas.....whoa...this has been the hottest week of the summer....with temperatures ranging over the 100 mark plus+ the humidity. I think it equals to something like 163 degrees...at least thats how it feels. thank goodness for air conditioning....or maybe not...me and kaida both have awful colds....everyone says its from the A/C. catch 22.

save me...

the past couple of nights kaida hasn't been going to bed on time. I think she knows that her dad gets home late....and when he does she gets so excited. well 11:30 was rolling around so i attempted to take her to bed even though she showed NO signs of being tired. So she ran over to gar and would hug him and hold on tight.....what a little stink. gar has a soft spot so she got to stay up a little longer. she knows how to work it

simply kaida

I bought this headband for myself the other day to keep the little friz hairs out of my face (they drive me crazy) for when im doing my everyday duties...cooking, cleaning, bathing kaida and such. well kaida thinks she wants to be like mom....so every chance she gets now, she is wearing it. I think its so funny...thats the only thing she will put on her head and actually leave it on. I can't put a bow or pig tails in her hair...and she will only wear sunglasses for a minute. we have a winner...moms gigantic headband. it even gets to go to the park with us.

here is kaida helping me bake a cake the other day. im not proud to say that i ate the whole thing by myself in two days, but it sure did taste good!!
coffee cake...my favorite!! (and no...it does not have coffee in it)
now kaida always goes up to the oven and looks in...its so funny

finally

August is here....i was beginning to think it was never going to come. 30 more days left. sell baby sell.....so maybe we can leave a day or two early. I am very spoiled because gar let me get a new lens for our camera....it was probably the least expensive lens out there though...but i think it takes amazing pictures...once you get the hang of it. so here are a few practice shots....they didnt turn out too terribly bad....still have to get used to it though

I absolutely love this first picture. kaida doesn't quite know what to think about the grass...thats one of the reasons why i was able to get this picture...she's not sure if she wants to walk on it or not. which is fine by me...im not a huge fan of the grass here...too many dogs arround if you know what i mean. I also got a couple new accessories for our camera....one of which is a remote. so now I get to be in the picture too. lucky for you...now you get to enjoy not only cute kaida, but my beautimus face too. happy happy joy joy.

im ready

...to be home!! the last couple of days have been very long and boring....making me miss home a lot. we usually spend our days inside with the A/C blasting, its like cabin fever. its nice to get out every once in a while...but its just been too dang hot!! so today i sucked it up and we went to the pool with aunty ash. we had some fun. Garett works all day today...from 9am-10pm so it makes for a long day! 34 more days left

the luckey 'one'

this week kaida has been glued to her doll. it is so funny....she just started to walk and she has to carry this doll that is half her size...everywhere we go! she crashes so much....but as long as she has her baby, its ok. the second picture is how i found her sleeping yesterday....so funny. she was so upset and cryed the whole time she was in the bath cause the baby couldnt come in. she knows love...this little girl
