christmas family photos

i guess this is what i get for attempting to take my own family pictures.

just by chance there happened to be one sorta good one that turned out...which is the one i am using for our christmas card this year. so if there are any of you out there that need one, just leave me your address and I'll send one your way

it snowed

a nice light fluffy snow.


i usually just want to curl up and hide when it gets cold and snows.

but this time I love that it snowed...everything just looks so clean and fresh.

gar had a day off so we got in our snowsuits and went to the hill by our house.

man, am i out of shape....just putting my board on was enough to do me in, but i was able to go down the hill and walk back up a couple of times.

i remember now why i love snowboarding....its fun...oh how i miss it!

gar said he will take me to the mountian a few times this winter...yee haw

it was kaidas first time experiencing the snow...and by the looks of the picture you can tell she didnt enjoy herself much.

it happened...gar let us put the decorations up sooner than planned. im so happy! he had a day off so we got busy.


this is our cute little tree we bought last year to put down stairs....it was only 20 bucks...what a steal

sick kid/road trip

last wednesday/thursday kaida tayte had the worst flu....she had the runs and was throwing up everything she ate...poor girl. i have to give a shout out to my dear husband who assisted me by moping up kaidas chunks all over the floor. friday we had planned a trip up to edmonton for raschels baby blessing. i was so excited to go, but i felt i should probly stay home and take care of kaida....didnt want her passing on sickness either. so friday morning rolled arround and 15 min before we had planned to leave i decided to go....hoping kaida was over her flu.

she did awesome....no barfing at all and she had so much fun with the kids and the dog/cat. plus i got these cute pics of the fam

in my shoes

i ordered a pair of new shoes that came to our door yesterday. kaida loves shoes and was playing with them all day long! she would prance around with them on...she loved walking on the tile cause it was loud. it was an annoying sound but it was too darn cute to care.

well i took the bar off kaidas crib the other day...just to see how she would do in a big girl day bed. she did fine with her nap...just stayed in bed and went to sleep...didnt even fall off. but durring the night i was a little worried about her, so we put the couch cousins on the floor by her bed just in case. well at like 3 in the morning i heard a tooft from her room....she had rolled off her bed onto the cousins and didnt even wake up...so cute. so i guess she isnt a big girl after all... but apparently she can dress herself...

trick or treat

heres a few pictures from halloween. me and gar bumed out...we usually get all decked out but we must have been too lazy. plus we didnt want to take all the attention away from our little zebra. kaida loved halloween...she loved getting dressed up and she didnt mind me painting her nose, but she mostly loved the candy....ah oh....what have we done to our child.
